Clark Kent leaned down onto his home's fence with a bottle of water in hand. He wiped sweat from his forehead before taking a swig from the bottle. He smirked as he heard the hum of city life miles upon miles away, an ironically calming noise to the country boy. Clark turned to the west where Metropolis was over the hills and very far down the way. Lois knew by the look in his eyes it was urgent. "It can wait. Go save the day, Smallville."
Clark gave a smirk and a nod. Then, with no time to waste, he pulled back his button down shirt to reveal a familiar emblem beneath it. There was someone bigger than Clark Kent needed, and his name was Superman.
